hi i have a question, how can i create a shortcut icon in my desktop, i want it to be shortcut for /mnt/windows.. im using Gnome desktop

i rightclick on my desktop -> Create Launcher.. Name: Windows, Command: /mnt/windows... but when i click OK, there's no new icon appears in my desktop

I think that will create a program launcher. You ant a shortcut to the partition. I don't use GNOME, but try to drag the partition icon from nautilus onto the desktop. It might work.

Mozilla: IE7 will boost Firefox take-up

Windows 2000 users are expected to migrate to Firefox in
droves, taking advantage of enterprise-friendly features
that will be available in version 1.1 of the open source
browser

The Mozilla Foundation is expecting to see a surge in interest in the
Firefox browser from enterprise users once Microsoft launches Internet
Explorer 7 next year.

IE7, which will be available in beta this summer, will not be available to
users of Windows 2000.

Asa Dotzler, the community coordinator at the Mozilla Foundation, said in
an interview published on Tuesday that he hopes to attract many corporate
Windows 2000 users to the Firefox browser, as they will be unable to take
advantage of the improvements in IE7.

hehehe kutob ra man ko text sa tera term gud, then.. gusto nako i-try...

sofar akong mga nabasahan sa mga sites is remote admin only available from linux to linux box.. linux to windows but not windows to linux? anyone?

VNC.. a remote control software. Install the VNC server on any supported host (Linux included) and remotely control it from the VNC client running on your Windows desktop.

There's also something from the developers of Webmin called Usermin. This allows ordinary users to configure their accounts on Linux systems via a web browser interface. It even lets them read their email! Very useful. Get it at:
