any reviews on JVC's hardrive videocams?
Guys,
I have a Sony MiniDv Camcorder model DCR-HC28. My laptop has a ieee 1394 port (i-link), i bought a firewire cable at smartdrive sm cebu for 180. It fits well to my camcorder and laptop.
The problem is the laptop cannot detect the camcorder. Im using windows xp pro. in the LCD on the camcorder it shows DVin. The sony manual has no instructions on how to capture video to a computer.
Can anyone please help me on this matter.
Thank you!
morag same problem ta bro dah with my cannon minidv...naay firewire, modetect ang pc nga naay usb connected pro di makit an ang video cam...unsa kahay prob ani?
i'm not so sure with winxp coz maybe wla xa video capture application... try to google for a free app download, and see if it works...
the firewire card costs around 1k.
connect the firewire to the video cam
use video capturing softwares such as adobe premiere, windows movie maker, etc. para ma balhin ang video to your hard disk.
DVD cams are not recommended if ever you will still edit the video since you need to do a lot of ripping etc.
The video quality is altered eveytime you decode and re encode making your final video not as good as the original one. so it is best to capture directly with the mini dv cams.
