    nice one! thanks for sharing!

anyway, he also said that alot of people are doing it (multi-touch research).
so maybe it's just a matter on whose version are effective and efficient enough for consumers
but i guess it'll be a long time 'til then.

Another good thing.. Fast developing Linux has developed a technology similar to the "surface" thing... It's still under development right now but there are demos online already.... Again, as linux says, its a free alternative...

MS has always been a big rip-off:

BASIC-developed by Kemeny and Kurtz, MS only developed the interpreter

DOS-bought from Seattle Computing Products. it was developed by Tim Paterson but was allegedly heavily derived from CP/M by Gary Kildall.

Windows GUI-Xerox Palo Alto Research Center

Windows 95, 98, ME- Just DOS (from SCP) with a shiny GUI (from Xerox)

    True Type Fonts-Macintosh/Apple

NT-allegedly MS pirated 21 employees from DEC. While in DEC, these 21 were working on VMS-an industrial grade OS. You can guess what they were doing in MS.
