    how sure are you na SUFFICIENT ang rice supply natin? kaya nga may RICE SHORTAGE eh kasi we're dependent on other countries for rice supply and it's unfortunate that those countries aren't producing sufficient rice anymore, or if they were producing SUFFICIENT supply, our own supply of rice isn't enough to cover the nation's demand for rice... kaya tumataas ang presyo ng kanin.

    The Agriculture department is taking action by going after hoarders of rice and revoking their permits to sell because these hoarders take advantage by selling it at a higher price. State universities and colleges will also provide assistance for farmers to assure good harvest. Some of SUC lands would also be devoted for planting palay.
    Fact is, it is a WORLDWIDE rice shortage.

    nanghiring gud ron ug mga J.O's ang NFA because of this problem, they deploy their new job order employees to a certain areas nga mga tindahan para mamonitor ang prices sa rice and its consumption. NFA are worried about some retailers buying rice not for the purpose of selling to the public but for their own consumption, for the reason lagi nga nihit ang rice, ang uban retailers dili nalang mamaligya kay sila nalang ang mugamit and kung ibaligya man gani, mahal ra sad!

    here's a news article regarding:

    Worldwide shortage of rice shoots prices soaring

    not a single mention of our country much less PGMA as the cause of this phenomenon.

    Unless,

    PGMA = adverse weather
    PGMA = natural disaster
    PGMA = high fuel costs

    then maybe it is all her fault.

    Funny how people are jumping into conclusions here.
