Palit 8800 GT Temps

I've have'nt been up to date on the latest P.C. tech, so I was kinda surprised on the temps being reported in this thread.

I mean 50C at IDLE for a V.C., What the F**K Back in the day a 50C temp on a processor like the p4 northwood (socket 47 or the Athlon (socket 462/a) would indicate FULL LOAD!!!

50c idle temp is pretty low na gani for videocards today.

The 8800GT is especially hot.. pero as long as it runs within the specified thermal envelope sa manufacturer.. it shouldnt be any cause for concern.

My 8800GT runs up to 90c+ at full load. So far no problems with it.

if it runs at 90C, it will deteriorate earlier than expected... init ra kaayo na ang 90C bro... try to speed up your fan a bit... 70C is ok for the stock cooler...

Aw mao ba? normal na diay gyud nang 50C at idle. hmmm.............

anyways I also noticed that ang thermal threshold sa ako V.C. is 130C!!!! according to the Temperature tab in the Nvidia Control Panel. WOW!!! 130C threshold. IN fairness using ATI Tool 0.26's 3d View feature my temps go all the way to 65C so I guess I'm still pretty safe.

Agains thanks to the posters for an informative discussion on V.C. temps. Highly appreciated. :mrgreen:

Now all I need to do is save ug an a powerful PSU and an 8800gt aron sad maka discuss ko diri about that particular card.

i have a question sad gi unsa man ninyo pag paabot/load sa inyong 8800GT to 70 - 90 degrees mga master? magdula kog crysis @ high settings 4xAA mga 67 ra man gyud iyang max reading sa everest right after playing..

4xAA on 8800GT with Crysis? that's a something. pila resolution? try running Rivatuner core temp (?) sa background while playing, alt tab lng inbetween playing the game.

yeah.. this makes sense.and I would tend to believe this theory.... pero is there any proof of temps actually affecting the GPU's life?
