Please, post the name of the studio, the location and contact numbers or contact persons if you had one. I think the studio where "MISSING FELIMON" recorded and mastered their latest album are one of the best sounding album ever here in cebu.

I think some of the posters are hesitant to share.

I just want to say that Mediatrack has a policy that if they can't improve your sound dramatically, and you don't leave with the master recording, then you don't pay. That is how confident the sound technology is. Some peoplr like the way other engineers do things (that is the way sound recording is....) and they support that. there are so many studios poping up now, one really has to be careful.

it use to be Backyard, Zzubu, Phoenix and Mediatrack but now there are dozens of wannabeesssss. Just choose carefully. All the original studios and their engineers have their good points. Mic2x at backyard or Ed's guitars is really genius with playing with beats and getting them to echo in incredible musical ways. ZZubu, well people pay respect to Paul for his bands he has been in....!!! Have not heard anything great recording wise (but good). Galen did a great job on the early Hastang stuff. The guy at Mediatracks is great at mixing and has years of experience that shows in the Fervent album and Nasud Ko, which I actually bought (a Dilaab Foundation proj). Really decent recording that has made a bit of stir in Manila.
So check the original ones out and then go to the really cheap ones to see if you can hear their stuff to make an opinion.

coz there are lots of wannabees and posers as engineers kunuhay... they call it engineer when you can download free $1,000+ software..tweak some and use it for free.. might as well label yourselves as music/or audio producers, gosh.. you need a degree in SAE or Berklee to get be called engineer..not just buying and plugging audio gears and labeling as engineers... poyo mo uy...

mailhan mana kung engineer, pangutan-un na nimog question like unsa manang A-weighted, unsa manang AES, unsa man nakalahi ana sa EBU why mag -20dbFS man ta, mag "0dbU" diay ..pwede sad -6dbA nalang, pila man mahabilin headroom magamit, imposible di sila kahibaw kay everyday mana sila nagpractice , for sure kahibaw na sila ila gibuhat. hehehe...
