Problems with SUN cellular sim with SE P1i

Hi guys, I just purchased a SE P1i phone, my problem is that my sun cellular sim doesn't work on it (the phone is openline)....actually, it works but I cannot send SMS, cannot make calls and cannot receive calls....I can only receive SMS messages. when i transferred my globe sim, it worked flawlessly, i inserted another sun sim (from my girlfriend), the same problem with my sun sim.
I approached SUN shop but they told me the problem is with the unit, I'm just waiting for the easter weekend so that I can visit SE shop at ayala and have them tinker on the phone settings.

So to all the cell masters out there, is there an issue like this one or is this an isolated problem?

ana gyud ng s.e. bro usahay mamili.. ako pud s.e v600 kay kung sun dli maka txt or call pero naa siya signal.. pero kung smart or globe nga sim akong gamiton ok ra kau.. ngano kaha na sa?? hehe..
