Warranty Period: Length of warranty on all power supplies that are 550W or greater is standard, three years from the date of purchase. Length of warranty on all other power supplies that are less than 550W is 1 year. The warranty period will be determined by serial number if sales receipt is not available. Replacement products will be warranted for remainder of the warranty period or thirty days, which ever is longer.
Warranty Period Determined from Serial Number: In cases where sales receipts are not available, Serial Number on the power supply will determine what month and what year that particular power was manufactured, and from that Serial Number, SilverStone is then able to figure out an approximate warranty period still remain.
Who is Covered: Warranty will be honored with proof of original sales receipt within warranty period, or all SilverStone power supplies with valid serial number that are within warranty period.
What is Covered: All power supplies with defects in material and workmanship for the warranty period.
What is NOT Covered:
1. Any product on which the serial number has been defaced or removed. TAMPERING WITH OR REMOVING THE SERIAL NUMBER VOIDS ALL WARRANTY AS DOES ANY DIS-ASSEMBLY OR OTHERWISE TAMPERING WITH THE PRODUCT.
2. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from, but not limited to:
a. Repair or attempted repair by someone other than a SilverStone certified technician.
b. Accident (such as dropping or spilled liquids), misuse, abuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning or other acts of nature.
c. Unauthorized product modification or usage not in accordance with product instructions.
3. Use of parts and components not supplied by SilverStone Technology Co.
4. Normal wear and tear.
5. Product damaged during shipping.
Warranty Repair / Replacement:
1. SilverStone Technology Co. may repair or replace the defective product or furnish a refurbished product that is not new but has been functionally tested.
2. All power supplies should be send back to the place of purchase if it is within 30 days of purchase, after 30 days, customers should send the power to the closest SilverStone Technology office.
3. During warranty period, customers are responsible for shipping the defective power supply back to SilverStone for repair or warranty exchange. SilverStone will ship the power back to customer free of charge.
4. Upon receipt, items will be inspected for serial number, tampering or misuse. DIS-ASSEMBLY OR TAMPERING WITH THE PRODUCT VOIDS ALL WARRANTY.
