During today's conference call to discuss its financial results, Take Two announced that a sequel to BioShock is in development at its new 2K Marin Studio. The game is expected to arrive in the company's Fiscal 2009, so that means before October 31, 2009.

It has been rumored that BioShock 2 will in fact be a prequel that will be set before the events depicted in the first game, which means that we could actually get to see firsthand the fall of Rapture-- the fictional underwater dystopian city featured in BioShock.

I wonder if it's still gonna be for Xbox360 and PC only? or will Take2 spread some Big Daddy love to the PS3 as well.

Isn't this an XBOX360 thread? obemon is just saying the it's best if we stick with what is being talked about here. I'm not too sure if there's an xbox (original) thread here but I think its best to discuss things like that in those threads.

I think its a given that PS2 has the better (in numbers) game library than the original xbox (I hope I'm not hitting any fanatics here, no offense intended) but this is not the right thread to discuss this.

Microsoft have said that they the Xbox 360 will have a library of 1,000 games by this summer. "We’ll have north of 1,000 games on 360 by the summer, across Live and boxed product," said the VP of Microsoft Interactive Entertainment Europe. It is beleived they will become the first system to offer a library of 1,000 games.
