    i hope so....
    calling cebuseg and ossa....hehehe...
bitaw, kung naay plano nga mo-develop ug distro for cebu, i'd be happy to lend my services...bisag testing lang gud..or dili lang ba kaha tig-alsa nalang sa computers...basta naa nacontribute...wala paman sad kaayo ko alam sa linux...newbie paman sad ko...ang importante magtinabangay..
Its far more better if you contribute more on the other OSS projects (tools and apps) rather building our own distro, IMHO it doesnt make sense at all, since we still be using existing source codes from redhat or debian etc, and just do some customization out of it not unless we'll do it from scratch .. daghan na kaayong distro to choose from .....for me I'd rather be part in the development, documentation or beta test builds like (Open Office, Mozilla ..and GAMES! )

It's hard to say unsay pro's and con's over the other pero I believe depende sa imong needs. Post your needs and ask the experts here sa forum then you'll have your answers.

About daghan viruses/worms/etc sa Windows...How come McAfee and TrendMicro is running ASP sa ilang Websites. It's up to you how you configure your system. But the comment is also true that daghan problems sa Windows platform. Pero if you wana learn computers lang, better start with Windows. It's easy and fun. Not boring likeLinux and expensive like MAC, sa ordinary users lang ha. Personally, I dont find Linux boring kay I enjoy exploring things and I'm working sa IT.

    OPEN SOURCE:
It's up to the developer kung share niya or dili ang code. Unsay pulos anang Intellectual Property Rights & etc. Anyway, if you're a programmer and study the behaviour, perform debug and traces sa executable then you would know the program. It's the logic ang the most important sa development. If you dont know how to make an equivalent machine code for manual systems, forget programming. Open Source is really good when you want to study. It's also nice that there are people who share.

    Work:
Daghan bitaw work under Microsoft but dako man sweldo mga Linux devs and Admins. Suya ko. Hehehe.

unsaon pag dual boot if linux?! install nimo una linux den winxp o the other way around?!

there's only a simple reason y linux doesn't get alot of BSOD's, Spyware, Virus since it's not as saleable/popular regarding its marketing value compared to MS Windows...if ur a programmer into creating spyware/virus, I would concentrate creating programs for windows since I would profit more compared to linux!
