Thank you guys..i know either of the two will be a good investment and I hope whatever decision will be made for this, there will be no regrets on my part.

just got it today + the Hoya Super PRO1 77mm Circular Polarizer

damn 24-70mm, 3 copies and all of them have focus problems. enough of that, gonna try teh 24-105mm :/

I used 24-70 before (Just sold 2 weeks ago ) then yes some of 24-70 has calibration problem.
Specially 24 to 35, 50mm.
BUt its very simple problem. just send to canon then calibration.

naa ko'y 24-70 2.8 L pero sharp man kaayo and i like it better than the 24-105 4 L.

sa mga reviews mas maayo man sad ug performance ang 24-70 2.8 L compared to the 24-105 4 which is expected because of the shorter range.

@dave77 bro, yeah simple ra ang solution but for a lens of this caliber, i would certainly expect it to work perfect out of the box. but hey, im waiting for my 24-105mm coming on monday wee

I'm into the same dillema on these 2 lenses, and i picked the 24-70 for some reason that maybe someday i will be taking the 70-200. Pero someday pa lang

Heard of that this lens is much more comparable to the sharpness and IQ of the prime lenses.

If ever needs recalibration, how much would it cost sa canon service center(cebu) for the 24-70L if walay warranty na?

more or less 2k for check up only plus labor of calibration which i don't know.
Coz my lens under warranty pa man.
