HELP: Clicking Sound then Hang

Lately I've been experiencing this problem...

I hear this clicking sound inside my CPU. I think it's coming from my hard disk. After I hear the sound my PC starts hanging but very quickly (less than a second) then returns to normal. It does this over and over again while I am working on my PC. I'm not sure what the problem is so what I do is just turn my PC off for a few minutes then turn it back on. Sometimes this helps, sometimes it doesn't.

Have anyone experienced the same problem? If so, how do I remedy this?

try running diagnostics on your hdd if ok pa ba...

IF its seagate or maxtor.. use Seatools.

I agree. It sounds like your HD might be failing. If you were able to diagnose it before it ultimately did, then maybe you can still move your important documents and files into other storage media.

Bro 13thProphet ... back-up nalang sa mga files para chur lang.

pila ka years na imong HDD ? if dugay na... palit nalang ug new HDD.

backup nalang daan bro, kay hapit na ma dead imo harddisk. improper shutdown can sometimes cause it or due to old age na gyud.

those are symptoms of a failing drive. most likely the drive is riddled with bad sectors already.
