    mao, for an over-all efficiency, you'll need good over-all parts.

    yep, penryns have SSE4.1, which boosts most multimedia capabilities.

    @parts:
    Get an intel, if you need a vid-editing station, di ka magmahay, sakit sa bulsa, pero it saves you a lot of pain in the *ss.

    Correct, But intel hardware is as cheap or even cheaper than AMD counter parts and absolutely far better.

    For Starters Get ATI HD2600 pro. ATI cards known to have better image quallity and colors.
    LCD also does matter. DOn't choose those overly bright color glared monitors like samsung. Since those are only good for gaming.

    And an Excellent LCD, Would be the Apple Cinema Display, w/ all Aluminum exterior and USB Slots. sweet. :mrgreen:

    If you are really an advanced graphics Professional designer then go for the Matrox paired with Apple Cinema Display.

    It depends on how you said it, sometimes it can be insulting to some but mostly its a comical relief.. or you got warned for just spamming, but anyway you dont need all those expensive hardware. all you need is the correct amount of ram, a good processor and a half decent videocard since your still venturing into this rendering stuff.
