this also happened to mine...before chkdsk was poppin everytime a boot windows...wen i reformatted i never got a chance even to detect d hdd...gud thing si sata controllers hav a special utility ryt after bios wherein u can low-level format sata hdds...

3 hdds? na.... this problem can be fixed tru chkdsk (full) of XP in the recovery console.. experienced this many times.

yes, 3 hdds na. first kay second hand na hd. i tot guba ang hd, so i used my hd instead. same prob, ako nalang jud ge palitan ug new hd. error lang khapon..

e try lang og bios update bay..di bahh maulian nahh..be sure lang correct imo pag bios update..unsay name sa mainboard. ? og model and version.

IDE cable na bai... naka agi sad ko ana nga prob years ago, tried it on 5 HDDs, pero useless, until ni palit ko bag-o nga IDE cable, wahahahaha!!!....

in some case this is repairable by XP's chkdsk.... but XP cant make sure if your cables are working... :mrgreen:
