Hey, question Tattva... do they accept catholics? I mean, I don't want to change my belief but to gain more wisdom through the help of buddhism, pede ba ni?

You mean kung gusto ka mag nun sa buddhism?

if layperson lang ka of course they will accept anyone. Pero do you know that the Dalai Lama's advise to those who are attracted to buddhism but naa silay other religion nga gi love is to STAY in that religion na lang because it might create pain among sa family members. Anyways ang compassion/mercy which is the central practice of buddhism is universal man sab.

naahh, I don't want to be a nun - I just love to be what I am now... but with constant search of happiness is what I like to do.

True kaayo oi. I think I am in that field... compasionate, I wouldn't be a nurse if I'm not. lol. Though my family are very supportive to every decisions I make (even sayup or dili) If sayup, they let me know that it's a mistake then I'll see what made them see that I am wrong... most of the time we come into terms. I mentioned this to my Dad long time ago - going to tibet - and he seemed to be okay with the idea... he's not against with but he gave me enough things to think about. Both are catholics and they are as open as anyone can imagine. A friend of mine (a doctor and a catholic) went to tibet and when she came back, she's more happier person than ever. I want to experience that too because we only live once and at least I can fullfil some of my plans for my life. enough na, I get you all bored reading my life story. Plus, I am mellow dramatic na pud. lol

Tibet is a nice place ah spiritually speaking, It gives the seeker a place of serenity well thats what i heard csa mga naka adto na. I saw a documentary about this guy nga ni adto siya sa tibet to make a documentary about buddhism then along the way sa pag himo niya he interviewed a lot of monks ,ang nahitabo is na change iyang perspective sa kinabuhi in fact sa osa niya ka interview wala siya ka bear sa pain sa iyang personal life while praying with a monk ni hagul hul siya ug hilak.

    Go there mam.

@oakboy and tattva...kakita sad ko anang Little Buddha with Keanu Reeves...ang ako jud manumduman was the lesson i learned about striving to do things the middle way....kato gani realization ni Gautama while meditating under the tree nga nag starve na jud siya...then like a flash bulb nikalit abot sa iya nga extremes are never good....best if you follow the middle path....which is sayon sultihon pero lisod sad buhaton

    Salamat sa imong appreciation Mam.

Correct mam, happiness n peace makita ra na inside us. Ako gani ive been filling this space with lots of wordly activities even including religion para lang naay meaning atong existence ba, but the more you seek it outside the space is becoming bigger , you know what i mean?, hehehe. Then sa akong pag study sa buddhism and finally applied it sa akong daily life wow the results were amazing. I began to understand that all the time the world we are looking for is really within us and once you get into that understanding diha na nimo masabtan na happiness and peace is really of our own making. Its within us, hehehe.

wow naka adto na diay ka japan mam? nice kama. Simplicity is nice, take way our own perception of how things are then you will start to see the real world clearly and its more colorful.

extremes are never good. Mao nay naka nindot sa buddhism mam kay ang realization ni Lord Buddha ma confirmed nato sa atong kaugalingung experience and it make sense,di ba.

yep lisod buhaton but at least na ay guidelines and everytime we stray away we are reminded to put our act together.

Buddhism is really nice. Ako karun im trying emphasis sa TRYING hehe, to be mindful para dili nato mabuhat ang mga unskilful nga mga stuffs nga mo rsult into bad karmas.
