good day peeps, i got another pc which restarts when i shut it down. what do you think is the problem here? im guessing it has something to do with the operating system which could be fixed by formatting.

it happens this way, when i click the turn off button, instead of turning off, the pc turns back on. any comments would be highly appreciated.

This happened to me before... i had trouble shutting my pc down.. kay when I do.. it just restarts... after weeks of troubleshooting.. you know what the problem was? It just costed me like P30.00!! I only had to change the batters sa mobo... Hageeeeeeee mao ra diay iyang prob kay weak na ang battery... ^_^ Testingi daw ug change imo batt...

solved na ni nga problem.

changed the memory from ddr2 667 running auto at ddr2 533
=> to ddr2 800 running at ddr2 800

solve najud and the problem never came back. wala pud nako dudahi ang battery coz 2months old paman ni nga pc (pero pwede pud na cya nga cause if old na ang pc)

i agree with ajol... dili pasabot niya nga gi control, automatic lang nagpadala lang ang microsoft ug script or virus like or whatsoever nga magmalfunction/magkaproblema nga mo guba sa imo winxp nga pirated... pero pag black xp na, naa pakapin mga worm or virus na mga installer nga mo activate ra pag mag integrate na sa uban worm or virus or etc...

definitely a virus.... just install nod32... update... boot in safe mode... then scan for the virus....

Dili jud na virus.....
Because.......

1. Ang OS nimo command sa kernel nga mo shutdown.
2. E unload sa kernel ang data nga naa sa extended memory - F000:FFFF( 1024k ) pataas...
so.. tanang program nga ga run sa imong PC, ma terminate jud........
3. Imposibly pud kung ang virus naa sa base memory - 9000:FFFF( 640k ) kay ang kernel ra man jud ang maka allocate ana nga memory.......

probably imong board dli musupport ug soft off. bag.o ba na imong computer? kung under warranty pa na try kuno ug pakita na sa imong gpalitan probably naa silay mabuhat about ana.
