Cebu's underground bands are better than the popular bands in Manila

bsag asa manjud naa jud nay suyaay mga pre...trait naman jud na sa pilipino gud, kung naay banda na mu-asenso, mudaghan sad kag mga haters. samot na, ingngon pajud ka na "sell-out" naka? Some of these bands don't even deserve this kay they've worked really hard for this. Others sad, nagsalig sa mga connections, which is also prevalent sa ani na industry. It's who you know jud. Mao na nisikat kanang cueshe. They took the very easy way out. I respect bands like urbandub and SATI who really were ahead of their time, and they really started from dirt jud until what they are now.

ni sikat ang cueshe kay dili lang tungod sa connections kundili naa gyud silay songs nga playable sa radio. naka kita ko nga ni guest ang urbandub sa umagang kay ganda pero tan aw naku kay dili sila mu sikat like sa cueshe kay for me, their song is not really nice nga i play sa radio. pang bar og small clubs siguro kay pwedi. plus i dont find bands in cebu superior sa manila kay ang band diri sa cebu nga i find really good sa ilang mga compositions kay kadto ra gyung abyss. kung maayo gyud ka mo compose og music, ma discover gyud ka ana dugayan pero if dili gani mo ma discover bisan dugay na kaayo n u banda, maybe it means nga dili playable n u songs sa radio unya dili worth nga risk nga i take sa mga producers

kuwang jud kaau ug support sa mga tao ang scene dri... dli lng sa mga producer ug sa mga manager/mga label /unsa pa na dra..... lisud jud pa supporton ang mga tao dri..... ang mga tao bya mo palit sa album /m bayad ug entrance sa mga gig.../ ug m palit sa mga merch ky nihit rajud kaau... kay if mo support jud ang mga tao dri ky anha na man na mo sud ang mga labels ug mga managers.. dba?... mbot lng para lng jud na nko...

I agree na Cebu bands are waay better than bands sa Manila...in fact some are even better than most main stream bands....--i guess it's because..Cebuanos know what people want to listen to......they know how to please an audience better..

Did you just ever wonder why Radio City and Odyssey outlets are closing down one by one?DOing it the traditional way just doesn't cut it anymore. Wala nay so called producer
na mu "discover" ug bands just like in the old days. Urbandub made it really big doing it DIY, and the labels are just reacting to this. Nowadays, getting "discovered" by some dumb A&R guy from some major label won't happen, unless you are some hot chick with some singing talent doing bossa nova covers in some dingy club in colon. There's the internet, and man, there's a lot of things you can do.

It's a very interesting thing to note that a revolution is already starting. All we need is just the support locally since the world is becoming smaller.

And about cueshe man,ppl here don't even respect them,and yes, they just their singer who doesn't sing as well as their geetar player since he can suck up to those managers who obviously are flattered by his undying attention.pun intended.
