so far, reception of the falcon edition of xbox360 is quite good... :mrgreen: just hoping to have more positive response from it in the future..

We’ve known that a new Xbox 360 chipset has been in the works for some time. Codenamed Jasper, the revised chipset is rumored to go into production by August 2008 and is said to sport both a GPU and CPU utilizing 65nm process technology.

Anyways, on to the new stuff. Today we’ve learned of two more chipsets that are rumored to be in the works. The first of which is called Opus, a Falcon generation motherboard designed to fit in a Xenon case. Considering the first gen Xenon models did not include an HDMI port, it’s safe to assume that the Opus will be reserved for dealing with the RROD issue on older refurbished consoles.

The second chip, currently dubbed Valhalla, bridges the 65nm CPU and 65nm GPU from Jasper into one single chip. Given the compact size, Valhalla will require less cooling and would hopefully be more reliable than its predecessors. And let’s not forget lower production costs means Valhalla would most likely be cheaper, too.

Assuming Jake’s information pans out, we should see 360 units with the Valhalla chip installed on store shelves in 2009 or mid 2010 at the latest.

Why Wii can Displace Xbox 360 by End of 2008? Well, these are the factors I’ve considered as to why Wii can displace Xbox 360 by end of 2008 aside from being rumored to be the new-generation game machine.

Price. Wii currently sells for $249.99 in the U.S., according to electronic retailer Best Buy’s Web site, while the Xbox 360 costs $349.99 and the PlayStation 3 $399.99. It might be cheap but still Wii is quite entertaining.

the wii is a nice console. the wii is less complicated than the other two consoles easy to use for all ages. but, for hardcore gamers. they would prefer xbox360 & ps3.
