Best IDE for Java?Hello

Hello i know that many of here specially those elite java developers. have already encountered different IDES and tools used for the development... Now i just like to ask is what is the best IDE for development. Like buildiing simple applications.. and for Web applications.. just like to build let say.. smart client applications

So far ang the best Java IDE(open-source) are :

1. eclipse (http://www.eclipse.org)
2. netbeans (http://www.netbeans.org)

I agree, eclipse and netbeans are the best ide for Java.

If your doing desktop applications mas OK ang netbeans kay naa na cya daan buillt-in nga GUI editor.
Kung web ok ra both.
I tried both.
Use eclipse for web/struts.
Netbeans for desktop app.

Here are some IDE's that you may try..

1.RSA(Rational Software Architect) - from IBM based on eclipse, really an nice IDE.
2. Oracle JDeveloper - from Oracle, and it's free
