Well since you are not doing your homework...
Install Windows XP (Pirated)
Enable Automatic updates...
Wait for a Genuine Advantage statement by microsoft and if you ignore it... Your windows will not start... or some other abnormal behavior... it may not happen immediately but it will happen just give it time... microsoft will even record your ip address.....
try installing Microsoft office pirated...
it will report to Microsoft Headquarters.... after determining your code is pirated.... lets see what happens...
Microsoft owns your computer....
i share the same prob here.. grounded ni akung pc. therefore i conclude. hardware ra jod
some of my pcs are not online and some are online.Originally Posted by ajol

which means i can't have that problem of microsoft controlling my pc.. and i haven't experienced microsoft controlling my pc sa kadugay nga years nako gamit ani same windows xp installer.
tig update hinu-on ko sa mga display drivers, audio drivers and other drivers and antivirus.
I won't agree that Microsoft make a virus againts those who used pirated O.S. I don't think so. What you are talking is the update on O.S. coz I think they probably used to lunch the O.S updates with a suphisticated programs that could scramble the behavoir of your system (pirated).
1. Actually piracy is a Microsoft stategy of Marketing there products.
2. XP Genuine Advantage is an update to check if ur xp is original or not. (Better not to update to Genuine Advantage)
3. You can choose updates to be installed.
4. Microsoft does not create virus that will hack your system, why do so... who are you to hack with...
5. Lastly, Get a grip, I'm using pirated os for several years and there are no common known problems.
it seems i spoke too soon. even with the virus removed, nibalik lang gyapon ang problem.Originally Posted by whoopz
but i found the solution na and also the cause of the problem.
step by step:
1. amd x2 4000 brisbane and asrock nf7g = geil ddr2 667 (auto memory frequency set it at 533) - problem still exists
2. replaced the geil ddr2 667 with an NCP ddr2 667 (auto memory frequency set it at 533) - problem still exists
3. updated the virus scan and scanned the drives - problem disappeared but it reappeared again
4. replaced the memory again with a 2x 1gig dual channel geil ddr2 800 (changed the auto memory frequency setting and selected 800)
- problem solved and didnt come back
i therefore conclude that the problem was caused by the motherboard having some compatibility issue with geil ddr2 667 running auto at 533.
but when changed with geil ddr2 800 running at 800 the problem is now gone.
- not caused by a virus ( but it would have been a possible cause )
- and definitely not caused by microsoft controlling my pc
