Im still a pcx 'fan' (tingali due to lack of choices) but somehow, i am disappointed with pcx (its un-updated websites, lack of stock) because this week, i was reading the post about the availability of the 'new' E8400 and one reader posted the much cheaper prices of Gaisano-Interpace. I replied, pointing out the the bulk pricing of Intel, etc., in the end pointing out that there was a big possibility of PCX overpricing the E8400 (riding on trends to price it skyhigh on release. stupid) since the price at G-I was 8800 and the price at pcx is 11000. anyway, after posting a few more replies, my message and that of the other user were deleted. pcx is greedy, afraid of healthy competition, and they can't handle the truth. but i'm still going back, coz in cebu, you've got very limited options. By the way, if Gaisano-Interpace is for real, i've seen their shop(or distribution outlet) at the H.Cortes St in Mandaue. Insotech is just too far away for me, and their site is forever 'under construction'. It doesnt help that other shops have lousy sites, TTI, PCQB, CBX, MDR, PCX. c'mon guys, its 2008! for cryin out loud! your website is a reflection of your computer store, so please, make it a 'helpful' site. thanx.

thank you for the insight! i did download their pricelist and it is really much cheaper there. The only downside is that there is no mainstream video card and mobo. Although the processors are very affordable compared to pcx, w/c is considered to be an "affordable" store.

Where is it this hernan cortez st.?not really familiar in mandaue, i plan to go there this sat and check the items after i'm done w/ insotec, coz i had to buy a gigabyte board there..just wondering bout the quality of the products. They are brand new right?hehe..

By the way, mag amd lang ko guro..the athlon 5200 x2...mahal2x pa ang intel gud..then if maka lessen ko G-I, then might buy radeon 3870 sa pcx or insotec or G-I, if available, wherever ko makabarto..hehe..tnx for this post though..

Im also not familiar with Mandaue but i just happened to use H.Cortes St last week because of the traffic problems in A.S. Fortuna and Banilad area. Anyway, if you are coming from Cebu City and going to Mandaue via A.S (Fortuna), H. Cortes is the Street in which Kaona Grill is located. Turn right on the corner of Kaona (w/s is on the left). I don't know if G-I deals are for real. I'm even surprised why, if they are carrying the famous Gaisano name, that they are not located on any of their malls. I think this deal is for real though, because if you get the processors in bulk (1000 pcs), each processor is supposed to be at around 7500. Even if you sell it at 8800, you've got a reasonable markup already. 8800-7500=1300. 1300x1000=1.3M. Yep, i know, it doesnt work like that. you've got rent to pay, salaries, bills, profit, etc. Even if pcx got theirs at 9000 each, i still thinks its greedy to price them at 11000 each. Listen to jun lozada: "Moderate your greed." Cge, try and order and we'll see how they go. I'm waiting for the Q9450. or the price of the Q6600 to go sub-10K.

*If its any consolation, the price range of the E8400 in the US is way too wide(as of January, during its release). It ranges from around 8,150--11,100. That is also why our 'businessmen' here are also offering it at the highest price they can, when they release it here. Maybe we can relate if we opened up our own shop.

Don't buy any E8400 above 10K.

i think this is a retail shop..anyways, i thought hernan cortez is the st going to the old bridge..the arcade building there..anyways, they also have an amd proc. I am planning to buy the athlon 5400x2 there..and also their HD are a lot cheaper than in pcx..
