What carreer? Any carreer that doesn't involve peddling human flesh.

and not having jobs is not solely their problem, the bigger responsibility is on the goverment

Whether it's legalized or not... this industry isnt going to disappear overnight...

I don't know if legalizing is the term to be used... I do think it should be regulated.

Since we can't stop people from doing it there should be safeguards in place to improve safety, health risks, and of course.. taxes to help the economy.. (the government will be happy with that).. hehe

Legalizing will never happen... this is nothing but a myth...

so regulating it is the answer/solution? what is the world coming to then... let's just give every prostitute an ID, a philhealth card, SSS and get some bank to come up with a special credit card with discounts and pewrks for prostitutes

this can't be myth if the government will seriously conduct a referendum on this but for sure with lot of criticisms.. why not. the yes vote may win.

It is sad that it has come to this .. but like I said.... if we just excommunicate these prostitutes.. we push their industry underground. I also understand that we are heavily influenced by the Catholic Church. In a perfect world... prostitution should not be present.. but this is not the reality. Unless the church can come up with a better alternative than excommunicating the prostitutes... we have no choice but to do this..

If we regulate the industry.. we can then go after the underground *** industry... at the same time we create programs to help reform the lives of these prostitutes by teaching them skills and providing decent jobs for them. The taxes they pay will be used to reform the lives of women who are forced into prostitution out of poverty. This will in effect decrease the number of prostitutes, help the economy and get rid of an underground industry that has been the bane of society and an eyesore to the church.
