the argument lies on people who wants to make God equally like a person. you can't do that. you can't argue why man naay bata nga Jesus; why man naay nazarene; can he exist in different states at the same time... the point is, He's still the same God. The sad thing is, you can only bring up a point based on the capacity of your thinking (and imagination) and they won't even ever reach the level of God's truth.
There are millions of misguided people around the world and Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, etc. are not exempted from this. so be careful in giving examples on particular activities of a specific religion since you may be giving a false claim by sighting misguided beliefs...
if you feel like some people are not doing things the way you want them to, starting an argument is not the solution. besides no one will ever appreciate spiritual elitism. even claiming that one has read the bible over and over again will not give the assurance of knowing the whole truth. at the end of the day, what matter most is indeed LOVE. and you have to read the bible on a LOVE's point of view. and you shall even LOVE the people who don't have the same thinking as you...
