There seems to be a thin distinction between the origs and imits.... just go to the Yonex website to see their advisory.... one is that the YY logo in the imit units have larger circles...... the number codes on the shaft and/or throat can be scratched out
in fairness to the mentioned sports shops, i think they are aware of the imits and may had disposed of these from their current stocks after the news of imits. i bought a Yonex AT150 (yup we can classify it as a class a and it is currently the racket im most comfortable to play with) from Chris last year and it got the labels that prove it is original (a plastic tag and a cardboard tag with gold stamps). Plus the bag is not the single pouch bag but a larger bag that even has shoe compartment.
Another tip to know if it is imit is the price (between 1.2k-800 pesos or even below).
Your skills may be a major factor in your game..... but the racket is still a factor........![]()
There are a lot of Yonex fakes being sold on e-bay.
You can use these guides to help you decide which is which

Here are my first ever badminton rackets. The yellow one belonged to my mother and she bought it in 1965 and then gave it to me. The blue racket is a silver gray made by Grays of Cambridge in England. It was state of the art back in the 60'sI had to save all my pocket money to buy it. It cost me 360 pesos

Wow! I cant even recognize the brands anymore.....
how much do they weigh?
i guess that with rackets like these strength is a factor in the game.....![]()
