tsk tsk tsk tsk.. ok ra unta kong ang driver babaye.. kay mag pa lugos nalang ko.. ahehehehe

ako sad... heheeh. seriously though, i have heard of numerous incidents that have a similar tone. some of them even have a knife, or worst case, a gun handy when you get to that dark and desolate street. personally, i watch his hands the whole time. also, there are taxis that have centralized locking mechanisms - bantay2x mo ana. i have heard of an incident na ingon ana ang nahitabo - he was about to pull the door lever and it didn't open. that split second that takes you to re-unlock the door is just what the driver needs to whip out his gun/knife. he lost 5k. sus, ug mahitabo na sa babaye, ambot na lang. another thing is kanang tikasay ug metro - some of them have a special switch near the clutch pedal, some a special switch in the dashboard, the horn button, etc. bantay sad mo ana.

preparation and watching out for signs is good, and i promote that. personally though, i think the best defense is a good offense in this case - talk to the driver. get to know him. don't reveal anything privy about yourself, of course, but just talk to him. that way, he will either grow an conscience and not push through with any plans that he may have with you or he will get to cognitively intoxicated (... pagka atay nalang anang terminoha... asa man ko gikan ana... wek) and get bored that he will not bother with the plan at all. that, of course, depends on how you talk to him of course.
