I'm new here. I'm from CEBU as well. Just bought my PS3 4 days ago and been playing Folklore. hehe. I've browse most of the threads here. Anyways, I bought the 60gb asian version one/NTSC/J it says in the box. I have some questions regarding COD 4.

Went to DB yesterday to get COD4 but they say it's not compatible with the asian version PS3! same goes for Assassins Creed. Anyone know where or how can i get a hold of the game as i really wanna play online with you guys now. hehe.

Also, which country should i register in the PSN? Philippines is not in the list. should i register in the US and HK separately?

Lastly, where is Sir NEOS shop? hehe.

Congrats on your new PS3. You probably have an asian or japanese PS3. Nwy, I've read threads from another forum about something like this but I don't think there is something to be worried about.

First, I have an Asian 80gb PS3 NTSC-J. No problems with COD4 (Region 1, US) here -> HDTV (720p).
Second, ashleyriot has a Japanese 60gb PS3 NTSC-J. He didn't say anything wrong regarding with his COD4 -> SDTV.
Third, PS3 games sold at DB are all Region 1 (US version, NTSC) and not PAL. So, COD4 will definitely run on your PS3 even on SDTV.

Regarding the PSN, I think the decision is based on what PSN Store you want. You can actually make multiple PSN accounts in different regions. However, it is best to have a default or main PSN account so that your friends won't have to add all your PSN accounts. You can just use your other 2ndary accounts for games and demo downloads.

NEOS Shop is located in E-Mall 2nd floor in-front of CDR-King. I'm not sure if he's selling Region 1 (US) or Region 3 (Asian) PS3 games. But if I'm not mistaken, he's selling COD4 and just PM him if you want to inquire regarding that.

I hope you can register your PSN ID and post it here so that we could add you in our friends list.

yep...like wan_eye said, i got d 60 from japan and im using for now an sdtv kai nag budget pako..hehehehe....for COD4, i bought mine sa itech since sila raman naa at that time and i got no compatibility issue man....my COD4's code is BLUS at the side with the "1" ... im still waiting for my folklore to be shipped from fetch a disc ..hopefully mu arrive na to sometime this week...hehehehe

That's Region 1 (US). I guess the problem is fully solved. No COD4 (US version) issue in both japanese and asian PS3. ^_^
