and fyi, i experienced that also. and not only to single virus but to many kinds, even to the latest deadly one, brontok. never it came out from its graveyard(SVI) and live again. lucky? maybe... why? all i do is to choose a restore point of which im sure that is truly clean even in SVI. you just have to reduce to the least diskspace usage of the SR for it to turn off automatically after the very earliest restore point where the system was very fresh yet, and wont do further SR monitoring activity if you feel scared of the ghost of those viruses being detained in SVI.
but again, thats out from the active registry working on the xp system are we talking here all about. just like we're talking about the store displayed stock items, not those in bodega. so its off the slide.
