I tried searching for C# in http://www.embedded.com . But found no link for C#.
Embedded systems are mostly programmed in assembly or C. They are small computers and not capable of running "interpreters". They are found on your watches, microwave ovens and cellphones.
Some microcontrollers even have only 512 words ROM and 64 bytes RAM. Program and run .NET apps on that.
