does a high tech facilities for a proper meds (for physicians) course really matters? i'm not a doctor but para nako dili man siguro mu-mater ang high-tech nga facilities kay ang Doctors usually mu- interpret man sa mga results, dili man sila ang mukuha (except for some tests), ...

Yes, that is true, CIM is the only Center of Excellence in medicine here in Cebu. Xavier University-Jose Rizal Medical Memorial College is now also a Center for Research (one level below Center of Excellence). To gain the title of center of excellence, the school must have met a ton of rigid and strict requirements including consistency in the passing rate of their students. As of late, the PAASCU has also started accrediting medical schools, and the only 3 medical schools to be accredited as of today is UP, CIM , and FEU.

there is no such thing as the best medical school. all universities in cebu have the same doctors teaching the same subjects. thus, all would-be doctors receive the same notes, the same books, the same training, and the same (lavish) treatment.

however, if you're pertaining to the best-medical-school idea, this would be addressed to how many board examiners passed the Physician Licensure Exam from each different schools - passing percentage, that is. PRC ranks the different schools from the highest passing percentage to the lowest passing percentage but this doesnt mean that PRC's statement would point to the "best medical school" in town.

my point? some good doctors does even come from the least favorable school.

so, whichever medical school you are in, just study well and get the possible training you can get!
