1. PORSCHE CAYENNE - 450 Horsepower SUV .. an SUV that can outrun some of today's sportscars
2. AM GENERAL HUMMER - The real SUV
3. RANGE ROVER - England's ultimate luxury SUV
4. TOYOTA LANDCRUISER/LEXUS LX470 - Both are the same except for the badge..
5. BMW X5 - It's still a Bimmer..

the cayenne looks like some asshole who lost his original FR drivetrain. sounds good coz its a damn porsche but doesnt look good

It looks like a Porsche on Stilts... Like a 911 turned into a Sportswagon equipped with larger tires.
No other SUV can go 0-60 in just over 5 seconds. Top speed of 160mph..
Regardless of its carlike looks (same as the VOLVO XC series, AUDI T4, SUBARU Outback) ... the car can do what a regular SUV does... even better.

I've heard that the Porsche Cayenne was "controversial". Why is that?

PAJERO - JDM ( Japan DOmestic Market )

MONTERO - USDM ( US Domestic Market )

Yes they do have a lot of differences in terms of accessories and engines . Monteros does have the 3.5 liter engines and the Pajeros gets the Turbo 2.8 liters . Monteros never had a diesel model while Pajero does .

@ EZRA , I dont know what recall you are talking about but I never heard any major recall for the Mitsu Pajero or Montero . Neither the rollover also that makes one scared to buy it . Actually it is the BANG for BUCK FULL SIZE SUV in the market today .

i've seen the latest montero TV commercial recently and i noticed that the design is different on the latest pajero..murag straight na ang body just like the toyota fortuner/SURF..here's a pic..
