leopard and its more stable
Yeps i agree that Leopard is more stable, however those peeps who are used to have iLife as free bundle for their Mac, you can retain them if you upgrade from tiger 10.4.x to leopard 10.5.x, but if you do a clean erase and install, those bundles will not be available for you, have to purchase iLife08 separately.
*When upgrading your 10.5 to 10.5.1, DO NOT Download and Install the security upgrade, its gona mess up your SAFARI application and could intermittently quit your safari or some websites wont work with safari after. Alternatively, download and use firefox for mac 2/3 version.
:P
Yup i Agree with the iLife stuff. Its best if you have tiger preinstalled and have a leopard dvd installer as bundle. Since tiger has iLife pre-installed That way you can retain iLife when upgrading to Leopard. Some people do have preinstalled tiger when purchasing a macbook w/ leopard(OEM version) dvd included in the package as a bundle.
This means your best choice is to get a macbook with preinstalled tiger bundled w/ Leopard DVD.
About the Security update well rarely I encountered issues such as safari quits unexpectedly with the latest updates of Leopard. But there is always archive and install when safari is bahaving shity.
Also as a backup for safari its best to get firefox or any other browser in case your safari has problems with that you can download and reinstall safari again. and also I recommend you to purchase an external HD for time machine backup. That way you don't have to worry even clean installing your OSX.
