we had our wedding reception at casino espanol ballroom. i think we were the second couple to use it after it was renovated.

the downside is you cannot put decorations and trimmings on the walls and ceiling.

beach weddings are romantic if you are in cold country but in tropical countries it is uncomfortable for the guests, IMO.

i love love love waterfront jud. superb kaayo ang service. grabeh sila mu take care. i dunno which foods the other istoryan got... but ours was awesome. everything went out perfectly. when we had our tasting, my husband and i were ready to be critical and nitpicky... but wala man mi ika-complain. kinda nervous about whether they can come up with the same quality in a buffet since daghan ug servings... but same ra man gihapon.

they coordinated with my wedding planner every step of the way and was really there to make sure everything was going well. all in all, two thumbs up :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

my husband's family loved the hotel sad. first class service jud. they were taken cared of really well. they didn't like plantation bay though. i think my father-in-law said that the service wasn't as prompt... or as good as waterfront.

shangri-la was my first and only choice... but i was really really disappointed with their service. wa jud ayo. dugay kaayo naka deliver sa ilang gi promise nga packages nya when i wanted to make a reservation na unta, they didn't get back to me! bastos kaayo. i kept calling them and they kept promising to get back to me. got tired of it all so i had my wedding planner coordinate with them. they didn't get back to her sad. gi pasa2x ra jud to siya.

my wedding was in july nya i started contacting them in late december. naabot nalang ug early feb, wa gihapon. in a panic jud to nako ug contact ang waterfront coz i was scrambling for another venue. right from the start, they really worked with me. there were scheduling conflicts since it was already a little bit too late and the dates i wanted were all booked na... but we were able to iron it all out. and the wedding was really good jud.

this all happened in 2006... so shangri-la might have changed their events department... but the whole experience really left me sore. i'm willing to give them another chance... but maybe in the future. as of now, i still don't want anything to do with them.

try diplomat hotel sa ramos... ok sad ilang ballroom, and the food is ok as well as the price. pero kinda gamay lng ma accomodate sa ilang ballroom.. maybe a hundred lng?
