Kinsa nakasulay shoot sa photo contest Sinulog?

if that's the case, do photo printing services like kodak/picture city/columbia/etc accept RAW for printing? Diba 5R ang submit? Would that mean I have to bring my camera and the driver(CD) to the shop just so I can have them printed?
@trazee where would you have your photos printed?

Maybe Sinulog foundation doesn't mind minor tweaks. As edwin_sn said, I guess what they really meant was not to overdo it.  I've even seen a winning entry that had it's background edited/blurred to emphasize detail on the subject but it won the contest anyway.  The judges' decision was always final.  I guess they've overlooked it or just don't care.  I don't know if they used the same rules the previous years. It would not have been obvious had the photographer blurred all of the background.  A small part of the background was left unblurred. He must have forgotten.  I don't know of a camera either that does blurring at one part of the background then unblur at another part of the same background.

korek. I just wanna make it clear that I have nothing against atong nadaug nga gi blur ang background ha.  ako ra to g example ni trazee about minor tweaks. Bisan ako I would really like to modify my photos a bit too.

but why go to the grandstand? mas layo na hinuon ka then you need a long lens for that.

... dont put off your desire to shoot during the sinulog and join the contest because you only have a point and shoot camera. what is important are the images you capture and if you think it has the potential... go ahead and submit it for the competition ... i am using dslr and have the big guns (lenses) with it but my point and shoot that i carry around also takes amazing images. best of all, the P&S camera has less buttons to worry about and what you do is just Point and Shoot hehehe.

what is important are the images you capture and if you think it has the potential... go ahead and submit it for the competition ....the P&S camera has less buttons to worry about and what you do is just Point and Shoot hehehe.

korek. ako dslr pero gusto man mukuyog ako friend and he also likes to be near the parade mao to pag sinulog sa kabataan last sunday ang iyang gamit ang akong point and shoot.  I would have lent him another dslr if I had one pero my extra camera was a point and shoot so he used it. when I went home I reviewed his shots, ok baya pud. wala pay lisod to iya ky gamay ra iyang gamit nga controls kuntra sa dslr nako.

and also people using dslr don't look down on people using point and shoot. they are too busy getting their shots...so apil na. wai paki ang mga taw.

I too had the same worry ky ma uwawan unya ako friend but that's what I have observed. Bz kaayo cla to get their best shots.

@tangadsangig...you dont need to bring your camera and all those CDs, simply bring along the memory card bearing the pictures and have it printed "as is", if you want to have some minor tweaks, do it beforehand prior to printing, if you have the capability to print your captures mas maayo aron walay gasto hehehe...it 5R man its 5in. x 7in at 300ppi, I think the sinulog foundation will request you to surrender your memory card for verification purposes only, then it will be retured to you after..

@sheeka.....dont look down your P&S camera, no matter what it is its is still a camera cable of capturing great pictures, so dont think twice!!!!come and join us...and lets shoot and be happy hehehe
