If all the answers to your question would be written, all the books in the world could not hold them. But I'll try and give you one:

The Lord Jesus Christ died a humiliating and gruesome death to show us in his body what sin does to our soul. Sin is disobedience. Sin came into the world because of disobedience. To defeat sin is to defeat disobedience with obedience...obedience even unto death.

bad things also happen to bad people. we just dont notice it bcoz they are bad and think that they deserve it.. good for them!

as far as bas things being associated with good pipol... it brings balance to the force!
contrast baya nang duha... a person (a good person) can't determine if something good has occured if he has not felt the the misery, the failure, the drama and te tragedy of life.. AMEN!

Oh, it's still a "bad thing" for all Eternity. However, God is so powerful only He can actually pull out something nobody can-- bring the greatest good out of the greatest evil mankind can commit --and to do it in a decidedly disadvantage way: becoming human, depending on humans, walking with humans, bonding with humans, betrayed by humans and finally murdered by humans. That's the kind of God I want my God to be. I once read this line from a book which goes "God came down and cried with us so that one day we will all go up and laugh with Him." And may I add, "For all Eternity."

why bad things happen to good people?

i believe it is a feature of the way God does things that we all have a choice whether we will do good or whether we will do evil.. perhaps if God were to prevent evil from happening then it would be the same as removing that choice from us.. for that reason, evil doers do bad things and the innocent, if they are their victims, must suffer.. we have not been promised a smooth ride, quite the opposite.. but we have been promised a safe arrival.. our hope is the promise of eternal life in paradise, that is the reward of the just..

we are protected from evil, but not from the consequences of evil things done by others.. no one can pluck us from the hand of God, once we have given ourselves to Him..
