unfortunately there's a 7 hrs difference between phils. and italy, usually it's nightime in tuburan when friends meet each other in internet, therefore it's more convenient to have internet at home...

GPRS is even slower than dialup (~48 kbps?). Don't jump ship just yet.

If 3G/HSDPA with Globe or Smart at an affordable rate comes into play however...

If your Cellphone is capable of 3G you can have an internet access as long you have a signal

salamat ha, neways naa diay kuno smartbro anytime anywhere, bale i-plug lang sa usb port as long as naa 3G (384kbps)...pero kung wala daw 3G mo shift ra sa 40kbps, pwede na siguro na sa chat.
