w/s s better XP or Vista?

I'm a Vista user and it may be slower than XP when it comes to gaming but that hasn't bothered me really. XP is GREAT.. but I just love the new feel Vista is offering. Vista ain't that bad. I used to think it was until I tried it. It's more of a personal preference. No reason to make a fuss about it.

are you a gaming enthusiast?

anyway, it is salient to stir about it due to it shall be the standard OS soon when time come for it to be mature enough like xp and everyone else is looking forward on that too. =)

You could say that. I recently upgraded to a 4GB ram and q6600 that's why I picked Vista. Waste of resources if I stick with XP.

that just your opinion, there havent been any recent benchmarks to prove it i guess.

have you ever tried gaming on a vista? seven might take a while. i did bump up my hardware coz there are just too many great games the past year. especially fps games and rts. 2007 was a good year.

I've been using vista ultimate 64 for a while and even had it reinstalled when the new RC for the SP1 came out, sure performance did improve since day1 of release but vista will never be 'atleast' 1:1 with windows xp in terms of gaming performance... I do not hate vista, infact i love now with SP1 and im looking forward to its better development so i can ditch XP provided that ALL of my apps will run flawlessly in vista 64

if you are using vista 32bit, then its really a waste. since it does not detect the entire 4gb of your ram. it can only detect 3.5gb of ram. and besides, there is no performance gain that you can get from 2gb of ram to 3.5gb... in 32bit OS.
