there's no reason to be sad. i'm sorrounded by a lot of people who love me. and i'm enjoying life. and i'd rather be in hell than be in heaven with a god who is too pre-occupied with his own glory that he would willingly send into hell anyone who would not worship him. coz that's the kind of God the pastors are telling me to worship. a God who loves only those who would worship him, the rest must go to hell no matter how good they have become. all because they did not worship him.

i hear you...i can relate to that.

everytime i encounter a self-righteous/bigoted/fundie person...i seem to remeber these quote, vividly...di ko lang maalala who said this:

I had been taught that you can only love God if you love your neighbour. It is ironic that I found I could only love my neighbour if I didn't love God(by abandoning such hollow belief).

^^ i agree, munzter! after my encounter with those pastors i realized that their God is not the kind of God i want to be with. i'd rather be with buddha who is human yet he knows what compassion is and would even willingly sacrifice his life even for those who would not love him. he is not pre-occupied with his own glory but with the salvation of all souls from suffering. had he been god, i would have worshipped him. i believe he would be a better god than the christian one.
