is their a scientific proof about that rubber used in havaianas?
is their a scientific proof about that rubber used in havaianas?
chances are those rubbers from different brands ranging from expensive to dirt cheap are made in just one factory in china... ang difference lang kay branding...
Havaianas is now a global phenomenon.
Celebrities like Cameroon Diaz, Kate Moss and David Beckham wear Havaianas.
Mao tingali mahal. hehe

was worn by fashion icons in europe.
duh, depende rana sa tiil..... naa mn mag sul-ob2x ug havaianas nya way angay ang tiil, mura ra japon baratuhon tanAwn ang g sulOb !!!!wahahahahha....![]()
personally, i don't find anything appealing about havaianas. it's just plain flip flops with various designs and colors. i find birks better, they're more comfy too! even Islander is more comfy because it conforms to your feet.
overrated ra kaayo! some people even go to the pathetic extent of saying that lahi gyud daw ang rubber. lahi my foot! i think havaianas is just a passing fad and won't even be considered a classic.
akong 3 ka orig na havaianas, puli-pulihan lang ug gamit sa among boy ug driver inig hugas sa mga sakyanan and i don't care, wa gyud magsakit akong dughan. now if they used my birkenstocks back then, then that would have been an entirely different scenario.

it would really depend on how u like slippers or if u are a collector or fan itself of one thing.. we could never say wat we think is great would be great for others too...) for me i love hava... it may look ordinary but its hava..hehehe

as with anything, it boils down to what makes us happy.
i have too many havaianas, i don't even get to wear them na, but placing them on my rack and adoring them puts a smile to my face.. corny but true.. i don't know, maybe i'm a lil crazy ^_^ addicted? nahhh.. but i ♥ my havaianas.
i agree, to each his own but on a personal note, aside from the addiction, trend, compulsion to collect, etc. discounting relative value? what is the INHERENT value of this particular flip flops? if somebody can give me a logical and objective answer to this then i might just be a convert.
i don't know may be i am just too practical, conservative and old fashioned. i never rode into the grunge, hip-hop, thrasher band wagon during my younger days.
i am not the type of person na mo sakay sa uso, boring me always contemporary.
bottomline is i just can't rationalize the havaianas rave.

lytslpr..hehehe.. ur not boring contemporary chuva..mybe ur jsut practical..( and its a good thing )... its jsut a crave or fashion itself to hve one..ehehhehe.. and it gives satisfaction for those who are collecting it.... hehehehe... so no need to divert ur beliefs on havas.hahahahha...mwah
