bitaw sir... ki-at ki-at lang to... i have tried Sigma 18-200, ok ra baya. Optics aren't good enough for my taste lang. But for all-around use, its cool...
for the sake of this topic...
I'm going for 70-200 4L IS.
PROs:
- Ultra light weight (yes the 70-200 2.8L IS, grabe ka sakit ako shoulders, carrying it the whole day, mo admit nako ana, kay ni stop nako workout LOL)
- Image Stabilizer - you can shoot 1/15s at 200mm as long as subject isn't moving. with the 2.8L non-IS every time mag zoom ka, mag sige ka hunahuna sa imo shutter speed.. you know the basic rule of shutter speed and focal length right?
- its Canon
- "L"
- its damn sharp
- Size, its not big, if medyo deep imo'ng pocket (literally) masulod ra ang lens. Hehehe.
- very nice color contrast
CON:
- not 2.8
EF 70-200 2.8L
PROs:
- 2.8!!! you can use faster shutter speeds (of course, depending on your exposure)
- its Canon
- "L"
- its damn sharp
- very nice color contrast
- good for sports if you are shooting 1/200s and up...
CON:
- no IS, master the focal length - shutter speed rule
- you may need a monopod
- heavy (for one hour of use, no problem... try 4 hrs...)
- big, lens case / bag needed when exchanging lenses
