we have the ECF who help us understand the Bible through the help of the Holy Spirit...the CCC is also our guide which comes from the Bible...not just the context of the Bible but the traditions of the Church...in which it is continous...as time goes...and so the teachings...stays the same but explanations became more understandable...

Salamat bro, naka read nako ana . but sad to say kang st, hippolytus wala na gi adopt tanan sa Roman Catholic .. ang RC Cathecism maoy gi adopt nila nga doctrine nga ma consider daw nga apostolic tradition tungod sa systema sa Vatican nga apostolic succession. RC Cathecism is considered daw nga Apostolic Tradition, which i dont agree and most non RC denomination.

it didn't say that the scripture is the foundation and pillar of truth. rather it says the church, and the church is a hierarchy whose teaching authority is handed down "thru the laying of hands of the presbytery". presbyters and elders who were given the power to loose and bind. and that very sentence to the jews simply mean that those people who were given such authority are God's mouthpiece on earth. the power handed to them is no ordinary power because it gave them the ability to freely interpret anything through the guidance of the "holy" spirit.

if you want to find evidence of a hierarchy. try to read acts and timothy. and even judas had to be replaced immediately because the book says:

For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. - Acts 1:20

Wa may kaso nang Tradition basta Biblical because Scripture is a Tradition ... please show us the other Tradition nga mo insist mo nga authorize aside from the scripture.

I choose clearly on the Scripture because it is written dili na hearsay.
