It should be compatible with all Socket Am2 motherboards. Some may require a bios update to identify the CPU properly

yeah, grss1982 is right, i have purchased around 8 units of these low cost processors. both in the sem and ath families.

im so impress on its performance, it even loads bit faster when i swapped it to my X2 breed under the same system on most single threaded programs.
