Yeah, never trust anyone jud... especially those people you only knew over the net.
Well, aside from keyloggers, passwords may be obtained by third parties (hackers) through Phishing..
What is phishing then??
Well, the hacker first needs to hack the site that usually requires login. Let's say Yahoo.
Once the hacker already has access to yahoo web server, they will then create a fake login page which will make the user believe it is still the same original page yahoo made.
When the victim logs in, instead of forwarding the victim to it's supposedly Email page, the usernamd/password are instead sent to the hackers mail and voila.... when the hacker opens his mail, he's got his copy of the username and password his victim has logged in... so be careful to all sites you get in..
Also, through SPAMS... You do not need to open all the emails you receive in your inbox even if it says the sender is from your bank or some organizations... This is another way people can get your identity once you reply to what they request...
To everyone, just be careful... most of the times, the attacks are intiated by the victim not by the hacker... It's mostly baits waiting for you to grab.
