Well, as for the question... I remember the movie "The Last Holiday" (queen latifah). What I would do though is to do the same as Queen Latifah did in the movie. I go out and travel - within reach, not to any place that consumes my remaining time and just spend for traveling (wasteful). I'll bring my family with me, of course, because I want them to remember me as a happy person without any change of attitude. Pick up the hottest guy, buy myself the most expensive shoes, bags, dress in cash! Eat the best food ever. Drink the most expensive wine. Just spend everything I have worked for. And for the last hour of my death, I'd stay on the beach lay down and listen to music, watch people, birds flying, children running in and out the water and watch the waves rushing in to the shore and just appreciate the beauty of it all.
I think this way my family will see me my life being well spent.
Do I need to wake up now, TC? hehehehe... sorry guys, I'm not riding your thoughts about how I spend my 24 hours of living but this is how I should do. We all have different ways - that will be remembered not just for you but to the people you left behind.

pack all my things and leave instructions as to where and how they should be donated
send thank-you emails to family and friends
send him a love email
write down instructions for my funeral and burial
go somewhere peaceful and quiet to meditate
come back to my room, shower, pretty up, lie down on my bed, and prepare for the peaceful transition.
