    unsa OS nimo? XP?
    i don't have networking knowledge myself but i have successfully network my 1 PC and 2 laptops at home.
    Run the Network Set-up Wizard ra ako gibuhat.
    follow the instructions and disable firewall, ok na.

    edit:
    basin naay mga networking gurus diri mas maka-impart ug more knowledge on the topic.

    You did not even post the info of the router you bought.

    Additional info please. but least I could give for now, read the manual.

    If you don't want to use a router, you could let Windows XP enable internet connection sharing (ICS).

    To enable ICS,
    Go to ControlPanel/Network Connections
    Right click your globe connection. Select properties.
    Click "Advanced" tab.
    On "Internet Connection Sharing" zone check "Allow other users to connect through..."

    I personally don't like ICS. You need to turn on your main computer in order to use the other.
    I suggest you buy a router.

    i recommend to use ur router, insert router cd and follow wizard or u can play the configuration. Importants in setup;
    1) wan side that connects u to the net. Is ur dsl connection uses username&password or a dhcp?
    2) lan side that enables each connected devices in ur local network to see eachother. 1 of the simpliest> set router as dhcp server and enable the nat and ur ON.
