I have a PS3 and i just use it as my dvd player..

disks cost alot, 4-6k per game.

wow its not really 4-6k per game @_@ more like 3k sa DB for US versions, 2.4-2.8k for Asian, it doesn't matter though as the PS3 is game region free for PS3 games and if ur really interested in the PS3, checkout www.pinoypsx.com, its where pinoy PS3 users hangout ^_^

You must be kidding. DVD player? lol. Even though you might be using a nice LCD TV or plasma and HDMI, your dvds won't look any better than a standard dvd player using component cables. Don't waste your PS3. Buy some games and let's kick some ass online. You probably haven't visited any video games store lately. You're exaggerating the price of games. Like what darkwing stated, its around 2.4-3k (depends on the version). ^_^
