The maker and creator of everything is simple yet never stupid.

We have to put everything in context. what Paul was saying is that show me your good works (if you are in God show me your works) result.

Ang ingon sad sa Ginoo is dili about works but he simply said, those who calim to know him cannot go into heaven. There maybe many reasons people can use but there is only one way to get into heaven.

No one can be saved by good works. If anyone be saved by being good then who needs God?!

then let us categorized first bro, what type of Good works?
Good works that is wanted by God or Good works by our own eyes?
Remember the legendary Robin Hood was considered as good man because he made a Good work based on giving what he steal.
Then let us assess to whom it is good, to God or to our fellow men?
Did you know that good works came from God that is laid upon our way to walk with it.
We need God to know what is Good for our soul not for our flesh (luxury/lust).

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10.

then would you man enough to show your basis from the bible about your statement that "No one can be saved by good works."?
