Accomplished, highly skilled American guitarist and vocalist Bruce Conte plays live at the Outpost on December 5, 12 and 19.

Vital and active in the music industry, Bruce Conte recorded and toured with the legendary west coast band Tower of Power from 1972 to 1979. Conte’s distinctive guitar styling can be heard on such memorable hits like “Your Still A Young Man”, “What Is Hip” and “So Very Hard To Go”. He has also toured opposite the Rolling Stones, George Benson, Santana and Eric Clapton. Current projects include: featured guitarist with "Earth Wind and Fire Experience" with members of Earth Wind and Fire, George Duke and Luther Vandross, featured writer and guitarist on the new El Chicano album "Painting The Moment", guitarist for Jeffrey Osbourne. Bruce Conte as a solo artist has released four solo albums and is currently working and recording with the all Filipino Bruce Conte Band.

Last wednesday, we witnessed a truly gifted musician who was enjoying every minute while he was onstage. With a mix of funk, soul, and blues...Mr. Conte is one musical genius that we are very lucky to see perform live.

For those who weren't there last week, don't fret too much. This is happening again this wednesday (dec 12). :mrgreen:

indeed, last wednesday was good. a privilege to see masters of their instruments play. priceless jam with vince russo on guitar two, taka on the saxophone, and grey on vocals. likely going back for more tonight.

I'm here right now in Outpost watching the perfromance of Mr. Bruce Conte... It's like you are in a classic blues bar in the southern part of the U.S. of A. I just close my eyes, and I'm transported to that place where we can only know in the movies...where everyone is enjoying the great music, and the musicians are having a good time playing their hearts out. And you just can't deny that Bruce is really one of the rare breed that we get to see here in the Philipines.

this is a very rare line-up, all in one night. this would be the first time that POSTMORTEM will be playing with cebu's legendary blues/rock n roll band 40 the BAND, for one full set. plus the band of the drummer-turned-guitarist Sam Codilla:SPArK7. this would be a great night at the OUTPOST which will be happening tomorow night(december 28, 2007) at 9pm.
