i tried overclocking my sn25p just this afternoon, i managed to get it running at 2.0ghz up from 1.8, cpu frequency (222x9) , i didn't tinker with the voltage settings coz i dont really know that much, i just left cpu and ram voltage at "auto" setting. i dont have a lot of tests available so i concluded the system was stable after running it with aquamark3 and 3dmark 03 and then playing several different games for a few hours.
since it's obvious that you guys in here know so much more about this topic than me, i have some questions..
1. can i go up to 2.2? (thats actually my goal)
2. and if i can get to 2.2, do i have to change voltage settings? i'd rather not.
3. how far can i overclockmy cpu without altering the voltage settings, and
4. how will i know if i have reached the point wherein i will need to alter the voltage settings?

the cpu is the only thing i want to overclock, at least for now

1.there are many variables to be able to hit high OC's.(memory,CPU,voltages,etc,etc)possible orimpossible will depends on how cool you can keep the CPU,how good your power supply is just to name a few.

2.again..that depends on the CPU stepping and/or revision.not all CPU OC the same.trial and error.keep raising your FSB until the system becomes unstable.once unstable..try to adjust your Vcore slowly to stabilize it but dont go too much cause it can fry the CPU.

you cant overclock just the CPU.when overclocking the CPU..the memory goes side by side with it on a 1:1 ratio thats why you have to make sure that your memory is up to the task too.

wrong, i also recommend that you read more.. there are CPU's that can be overclocked via multiplier alone since some of them are unlocked
