Gud day, ask lng ko kun unsa gamit ninyo nga software pag diagnose sa bad sector..kanang iya markahan ang bad sector para dli na maka write ang head sa naay bad nnga part?nasuwayan na nko built in tools sa windows pro la epek..

If using windows,
-open My Computer
-Right click drive letter then select 'Properties'
-Click 'Tools' tab.
-On 'Error-checking' area, click 'Check Now..' button
-A new dialog will apear, then check 'Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors'
-Then click 'Start' button to start disk check

This will recover data from bad sectors then it will mark it bad on your disk.
No need for extra software, Windows already has this tool.

dont rely on scandisk/chkdisk if you already know you have a bad sector...

use other third-party software like Norton's NDD or so...

check your HDD's website, they probably have some utilities there, e.g. seatools of seagate

Note: never use problematic disks as the OS installation directory... it might crush your heart when you least expect it...
