Vertical Horizon - Everything You Want Album

If there's one album I could think of that would describe my 1990's decade, it would have to be Vertical Horizon's Everything You Want.

To me, it definitely gives you hope for the modern rock era.

Yes the songs are a bit melodic for the serious rock fan, i just love the thoughtful lyrics and vocal delivery.

This album isn't entirely rock-- i would say more on the pop/rock genre and as a fan of many different genres of music this album appealed very very much to me.

Not all songs in the album are great but the album as a whole reminds me of the time spent watching Dawson's Creek, writing about my feelings and putting on lotion on a full moon in my candle lit room.

Indeed Vertical Horizon reminds me of a time in my life. Their song You're A God has become one of our barkada's theme songs. Everytime makadungog mo ingon gyud dayun ug "atong theme song o." And then we would include the name of the place where the song meant so much to us. It will go something like.. You're A God, Vertical Horizon, Manalili, Luthienne's place. One of my friends would pick up the guitar and start playing Everything You Want. And there were days when I would ponder upon the pain of a broken heart with Best I Ever Had on the background. Years from now I would still be listening to these songs with the excitement of someone who've only just heard of them but liked them right away. :mrgreen:

not a fan, diverse ra kaayo ako taste sa music.. but I have to admit Everything You Want is a terrific song..

great tune, mellody and lyrics. takes me to another dimension. I wish they could make more songs like that.

Oh you certainly have a diverse taste in music! I would have to agree.

What I've read about Vertical Horizon was, their first two albums don't sound like the Everything You Want album. and most listeners said that those two were way better than this album.

of course we couldn't agree/disagree, I can't find a copy of these albums.
